Photos, courtesy of Sarah & Adelaide

Thanks to the babies figuring out how to use mom & dad's camera, here are some photos:

Jon in kilt drinking scotch out of a baby bottle on New Years! And I'll bet you that's not the first time he's done both at the same time.

So the Santa costumes that the girls' favourite Aunt Stacie got for them are apparently NOT too big!

Mini-Santa!!

Ok, so the hat's are a BIT ginormous!

Dontcha just want to stuff her in a stocking?!?!

Sleeping sweeties - these kids never seem to cry, although their mum might disagree!!! :)

Dog photos to commence next week, after I retrieve my camera! I have to say that Pooh Bear figured out the joys of laying on me on the couch. She has been particularly annoying (as in "pet ME all the time!!") so what the heck, I dragged her up on the couch and she didn't want to leave. We are doing a lot of dog walks still, since snow seems to be scarce this year - but I aim on getting out on at least a one-dog skijor this weekend. Hopefully I have photos to prove it! :)

Off I go to have a relaxing weekend of playing with dogs, organizing my CRAP and doing dishes, ah, screw it. Who needs clean plates?!?! The dogs do a pretty good job cleaning them as it is.

Edit to Add: Apparently there was a meteor shower last night! Thanks to Michael and other UrbanYukonersfor actually knowing something about it. And here I was thinking I was just lucky as I went outside to feed dogs/pee when I saw the star after star shooting across the sky. As I was squatting I was thinking yay! I finally picked the right time to pee for once! Screw that "getting an indoor toilet" thing!!!!

I was just thinking how cute your cabin was and how pretty it would be covered in snow and I saw the words "go outside to pee". Please tell me you are going to have an indoor facility soon.
I am another dog crazy person who happened upon your blog through the lady justicia.

No bathroom is a great way to get outside, however it loses it's appeal running to the outhouse at 40 below!

wickedclassy - depends what you do for a living, there are jobs around for sure.

Those are some particularly talented babies! Aunt Stacie must've been teaching 'em how to use the camera, as it looks like they have it down pat. Love the Santa suits!

I guess growing up at the beaches in Southern California has ruined me. I am on the central coast now and I cry when it gets below 40 like a little pansy girl. We had a cute "cabin" when was a kid in Lake Arrowhead with washer/dryer/dishwasher, and of course bathrooms and central heat beside the fireplace. I guess I thought that's what all cabins are like. Even when I spent time in Ireland on the ragged west coast in a restored anceint relic we had under floor heating, indoor bath, all ameneties except a closet sized kitchen as opposted to my customary huge eat in plus formal dine set up. I did love Ireland and the sparseness of it all and and I was in love and could have lived on cold cereal forever just to be there us alone in nowhere. (I hate cold cereal). Now there has been a terrible divorce and I am trying to find where to let my dogs live out their lives. I have a senior golden retireiver who is my angel and a 1 1/2 yr old Neufoundland who is just now 130 lbs and still growing. I think he would love the snow. How do the older dogs do in the extreme weather? A cabin in the woods would be lovely, are they expensive?
